It doesn't take anyone long to realize that we live in a sinful world, full of chaos and calamity. Life is crazy at times and though there are a lot of uncertainty surrounding us it is so important to remember that kindness matters. I'll say that again. Kindness always matters, no matter how small the act of kindness may be.
I love what Colossians 3:12 says,
"Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
As believers it is vital that we remember that we have been called to love one another, to be compassionate, and full of mercy towards those around us. We are the children of the most High, which means that we are called to be His hands and feet. A small act of kindness can change an entire day.
Ephesians 4:32 says,
"Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."
Be kind to one another and show each other love and compassion. It is important to understand that just as we have been forgiven by God through Christ as the scripture says, we are called to forgive one another and show mercy and kindness.
Kindness has a way of turning almost any situation around and brightening most circumstances. Whether it is a random act of kindness or you see a need and try to meet it. I encourage you to find moments where you can show kindness to those around you.
Remember friends, kindness always goes a long way.
