Surrender...it's a beautiful thing

There's beauty in surrender and when we allow ourselves to take a step back and dwell in the presence and promises of God, then we are able to see the beauty within the season we are in.

There is strength within surrender. A strength that can only be found in the presence of God.

I love the words of the prophet Isaiah,

"The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine." -Isaiah 9:2

The people will see a great light and no longer walk in darkness. Jesus is our light and sustainer, He is worthy of all praise for all time. He is good and He is kind! There is no one like our God.

“Who is like you among the gods, O Lord— glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders?" -Exodus 15:11

Who is like the Lord? He is magnificent with a grace that will never fail. He is merciful and mighty. Who is like our God? There is no one who compares to our God and who He is.

I mentioned earlier that God is light and He brings light to His people. I love what Matthew 5 often referred to as the beatitudes instructs,

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers." -Matthew 5:3‭-‬11

They will be called the children of God...

What a beautiful reminder that we are the children of God and He has given us the most beautiful instruction book for life. Matthew 5 continues with a reminder that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth, let's read it.

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." -Matthew 5:13-16

You are salt and light friends, and you are so loved! What a loving and kind God we serve friends!

Much Love friends,

Alianna
