What would you do....

Have you ever thought about what you'd do if you knew it was your last day? I used to joke around saying I'd eat whatever I wanted and do all the things I've been to scared to do up to this point. I never really took the question seriously, but you know what...

Jesus knew.... and He washed feet.

On His final day before going to the cross He washed the feet of His followers and served them. He knew the end was coming and He spent those moments serving those He would soon give His life for.

If God took it from you tomorrow would you be okay? If not it has become an identifier for you. When it becomes an identifier for you it becomes an idol. Even the smallest thing can become an idol in your life if you let it become your identifier...

I love the picture that Colossians 3 paints, let's read it together.

"You have been raised up with Christ. So think about things that are in heaven. That is where Christ is. He is sitting at God’s right hand. Think about things that are in heaven. Don’t think about things that are only on earth. You died. Now your life is hidden with Christ in God. Christ is your life. When he appears again, you also will appear with him in heaven’s glory." - Colossians 3:1-4

You have been raised up with Christ! What an incredible thought. I love how it goes on to say that our lives have been hidden with Christ, and that Christ is our life now. How amazing is that?! Our God is so good and so kind and He takes good care of His children.

I don't know about you but I will forever be thankful for the grace and undeserved love our Father continues to pour out on us! So, I want to ask the question, if it was your last day on earth how would you spend it?

Would you do everything you have always wanted to do? Eat whatever you wanted, go and do whatever it is you have always dreamed of doing? Do something that terrifies you? What would you do? Would you do any of those things or would you wash feet? Be the hands and feet of Jesus right here where you are?

I know it is my prayer that I would spend my final day sharing the love and forgiveness of my Savior to anyone and everyone with ears to listen. I know for some of us that seems like a scary thought, but it was what we have been created for. Relationship with the Creator of the universe.

He is faithful and He is kind. Our God is life and life abundant!

Take some time to think about my question friends. How would you spend that day?

Much love friends,

Alianna
