Have you ever had a moment where you had to stop and just spend a few minutes praising the Lord?! I know I have. A moment when it doesn't matter what's going on around you, you just have to take a moment to stop right where you are and simply praise the Lord. Over the last few months I have had quite a few of these moments. I have found over the years that even in the moments we don't feel like praising those are the moments we need to worship the most.
It doesn't matter how many years pass by, I continue to find myself left in awe of the love and mercy of our creator. It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that the Creator of the universe knows everything about me and He continues to show me His love and mercy. Wow! I don't know about you, but I definitely couldn't continue to do that to every one around me all the time.
Every time we mess up or lash out He still pours His love and grace on each of us. We don't have to earn His love, it is freely given. We don't have to earn His mercy or grace, in fact there is nothing we can do that will ever make it so we could earn His mercy or grace. That's why its called the gift of grace and mercy, that is just what it is a gift from God to His people.
Scripture tells us that we are the sheep of His pasture and that the sheep know the voice of their shepherd. So, friends stay close to the shepherd and learn to recognize His voice. Know how He speaks and when He speaks. When you do life has a way of turning around. Now I'm not saying life will be easy, it won't. Scripture tells us that we will have trouble in this world, but we can be encouraged because our God has already overcome!
"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." - John 16:33
No matter what the season is you may be walking through, I just want to encourage you to make time to simply praise the Lord. Even when you don't feel like it, Praise. Even when it's hard, Praise. Even when you find yourself on your knees, Praise. In every season, and no matter the reason, Praise!
It is my prayer that you would find yourself declaring these words, "In the midst of my sorrow and my brokenness, I sought the Lord and I praised His name. I will still praise the Lord no matter the season or the reason I will praise the Lord! "
Much Love friends,
Alianna
