I think we would all be lying if we said our lives always go exactly as planned. Now I know I'm young, but my life has been flipped upside down a few times already and honestly I don't think I would change any of it. In fact I expect it will be flipped around more in the future. That's the funny thing about life though, just when you think you have it all figured out. Boom! The unexpected happens and you find yourself thrown for a loop, having to start from scratch in some cases or learning from the unexpected in others.
I would argue, that's part of the beauty of life. You never quite know what to expect at any given time. Life is beautiful and its messy. It's full of unexpected moments both good and bad, but through it all God is right there with us every step of the way. It was through some of the hardest seasons of my life that I felt the closest to God.
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." - John 14:26
You are never alone, no matter what you may be walking through. What the season may hold He is right there with you walking every step of the way. I love the reminder in the verse above. The Holy Spirit is right there with you no matter what you may find yourself walking through.
I believe that we can not be ready for everything all the time, however, we can learn to except the unexpected. Life doesn't always make sense and there are things that happen every day that we cannot explain. What I can tell you though, is that We serve a great God. A God that cares for you and loves you more than you could ever imagine.
I love this reminder in Hebrews,
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." - Hebrews 13:8
It doesn't matter what your circumstances look like or what's going on around you, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! So I want to encourage you to embrace the unexpected. Don't allow the chaos of a moment to steal the beauty found there too.
So, even though you can't always be ready for anything. You can learn to expect the unexpected and embrace the glimpses of beauty found within the chaos. It is so crazy to me how we can try our hardest to be ready for any and everything that may come our way, and yet it is impossible to be completely ready for it all.
However, something I have learned over the years is that we can be ready for anything in the sense that we are ready for whatever may come our way as long as Jesus is our life leader and sustainer. He is good and He is kind, even when life is crazy and everything seems to be falling apart.
Are you ready for the unexpected?
Much Love friends,
Alianna
