One Step At A Time...

Everything takes time, no matter if it takes a few seconds, hours, days, or years. It takes time for things to grow, time for change to happen, and time for seasons to come and go. It can seem overwhelming when you are trying to complete a large scale project, but it doesn't have to scare you off. Take it one step at a time, each step will add up in the end.

I heard this quote not to long ago and I think it gives a good visualization of what I'm trying to communicate.

"Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." -Lao Tzu

Within our fast paced culture I think it can become extremely tempting and overwhelming at times to take things one step at a time. We want what we want when we want it. Waiting is almost seen as a game, some are good and it, while others struggle through. I want to encourage you however, that it is almost always worth the wait in the end. Taking life one step at a time should never be seen as a weakness or as a source of embarrassment.

The main goal in my life as a Christian is to be a light and shine the gospel message with everyone I come in contact with. Whether it is through my words or simply by the way I act and react in whatever situation I find myself in. I hope you do the same, just know you have someone on your corner next time it feels hard to keep going.

"We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy." - Colossians 1:11

When it seems like the journey is taking way to long and you want to give up, remember you are not alone and you have others walking on this same journey with you. Your journey may look alittle different then mine and others but the goal is the same, share the gospel with all the world. In order for us to reach people no one is reaching we sometimes have to go about it in ways no one else has before.

Throughout the Apostle Paul's time of ministry he met with those no one else would dare to. He did things others would never dare to do in order to reach those no one was reaching.

"When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring the Jews to Christ. When I was with those who follow Jewish law, I too lived under that law. Even though I am not subject to the law, I did this so I could bring to Christ those who are under the law." - 1 Corinthians 9:20

Later in that same chapter Paul mentions again that when he is with different groups, he lives as they live. He does this so that he can build a relationship with them and share the gospel message with them.

"When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings." - 1 Corinthians 9: 22-23

All that to say, no matter how fast or slow the journey may be, it is always worth it in the end. My hope is that you would take the time to fully understand what it is you are running, walking, or crawling towards and hold on to the promises of God displayed time and again with scripture,

One step at a time, live a life on mission chasing after the end goal, and remember live loud!

Much Love,

Alianna
