I have been in one of those busy seasons of life. You know what I'm talking about. Those times when you're running around like crazy with little to no rest and you feel like the world is moving at a hundred miles an hour. What if I told you that even in those moments you can still find rest. That in those moments you could still find joy and peace.
I know it sounds crazy but its true, in the middle of the chaos of day to day life you can still find peace. I've been learning lately that the most important thing we can learn to do is rest in the presence of God.
Find moments within our busy seasons to rest in the goodness of our God. A few months back I was on a trip and had the opportunity to spend a day soaking up some sun and just resting. Something I don't often get to do. After taking a drive with my family we found a overlook looking out over the coastline.
While looking out over the water I had a thought that seemed to just pop into my head.
Its not about riches or fame, but a helpless dependence on God
Friends, I hope you understand that as believers we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us. Honestly, this is a concept that has not always been the easiest for me to grasp.
The thought that it is my job to be a voice proclaiming the gospel message to anyone and everyone I come in contact with use to terrify me. The older I get the more I realize that it's okay to get nervous at times, but the important thing to remember is that you may be the only person to share the gospel with some of the people you come in contact with.
When you have those moments when you get overwhelmed, remember you are a child of the most high. Remember to find those moments of rest in the presence of God and understand you are so loved.
I'll leave you with a blessings straight from Scripture,
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” - Numbers 6:24-26
Remember friends, it's not about riches or fame but a helpless dependence upon our Savior.
Much Love friends,
Alianna
