Mercy and Kindness...

I have seen His mercy and kindness time and time again throughout my life. Full of mercy and kindness.

These two concepts have been continuously on my mind over the last few months. My God is full of mercy and compassion, He continuously pours out kindness on his people. Over the last few months I have been reminded of His mercy and kindness even in the small mundane events of day to day life.

"You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit." - Job 10:12

Today, I was once again reminded of God's mercy and kindness. As I sat studying for an exam, I found myself frustrated about things that I have no control over. Things that I cannot control and should not try to, and yet there I was letting them effect my mood and interrupt my studying. Walking away from my desk I couldn't help but laugh as my phone dinged with a reminder from my prayer app to pray for the prayer requests covering my wall.

In the midst of my frustration and honestly annoyance, I was reminded that God is with me in those moments and He knows what's best. I'm not gonna lie, I honestly didn't feel like praying at that moment. I was still frustrated, but in the midst of my frustration I felt the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit changing my attitude and I prayed in the middle of the frustration. And let me tell you friends, at the end of my prayer time my whole attitude was changed. My frustration at the moment lessened. I was reminded of His kindness friend!

"Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you." -Philippians 4:9

In the midst of me allowing thoughts and daily frustrations to keep my focus away from where it should be, God reminded me, I am not alone. God reminded me of His mercy and kindness even in the mundane moments of life.

I'll leave you with one final passage of scripture. Remember this passage friends and remember our God is full of mercy and kindness.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." -Deuteronomy 6:5‭-‬9

Much Love friends,

Alianna
