It's easy to take for granted the little things in life. The moments we have together with our loved ones and the memories we have together. Something that I have recently begun to understand is just how precious the moments we have with our loved ones are. Life is precious and our time together never promised which has reminded me that each life is a gift. Each moment a blessings, and each memory made incredibly special.
I love the reminder of the gift of life found in Psalm 139:14,
"I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
Scripture tells us life is precious and fleeting, here today and gone tomorrow. Life is a crazy and beautiful thing. It is a gift the continues to give, even within the craziness and hustle and bustle of the day to day. There is beauty to be found within every moment. I love what Genesis 1:27 reminds us,
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
Life is a precious gift we are way too quick to take advantage of. We take for granted those around us and put things off saying 'I'll do it later', but we never stop to think about the fact that "later" may never come. We never know what tomorrow will bring or even the next hour, so instead of waiting until tomorrow, do it today.
Tell your family that you love them more often, hug them a little tighter, smile at that grumpy neighbor down the street, lend a hand to the hurting and in need, spend a little more time with your loved ones, and stop taking for granted the times you get to spend together. Tell them you care and you love them!
Life is but a glimmer, here today and gone tomorrow. So make the most out of each moment. Rejoice in your victories and in your weaknesses. As the apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:10,
"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
Rejoice in your weaknesses and praise God who is our strength and our shield. Remember friends, life is a gift. It is here today and gone tomorrow, so enjoy each moment and rejoice in the Lord always just as we are reminded in Philippians 4:4-7,
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Find joy in the little things friends and remember its not about how much you know, its about how much you show you care. Take the time to be present and remember that all life is precious and a gift. Take the time to remind those around you that you love them and you are in their corner!
Let them see the love of God through you and remember you are the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth. Love them well friends!
Life is a gift friends, steward it well.
Much Love friends,
Alianna
