Spending even just a moment in the presence of our Creator is all it takes to begin to stir something inside of us. It just takes a moment to be undone by the power and majesty of our Savior. I was recently reminded of the beauty of the still quiet moments we spend in His presence. I got to be a part of a week of worship at my church and night after night it was so beautiful to see the presence of God fill the room and move in the lives of those present. To see Him working in them and get to be a small part of ushering them into HIs presence was beautiful.
Something beautiful happens when we open ourselves up to the things of God and allow Him to move in and throw us. Tuning our hearts to the still small voice of God and lifting up our praise to the Maker of the universe. Making ourselves available and ready to allow Him to work through us. I love what 1 Timothy 3 tells us,
"Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory." - 1 Timothy 3:16
It is so amazing that Jesus came down and dwelt (lived) among us. He was fully God and fully man. Sinless and full of mercy.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." - John 1:1-3
I love what the next two verses tell us,
"In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:4-5
Our God is life and light, and there is no darkness that can ever overcome the light of our God. He is good and He is kind. His love is everlasting and goes on forever and ever. It is my prayer that you would seek out those moments were you can spend time in the presence of our Creator. Even if only for a moment. He is good friends and His mercy is new every morning!
I was thinking about the woman with the issue of blood whose story is found in Matthew 9:20-22. She suffered for 12 years going to doctor after doctor seeking relief, but nothing helped. She used up all of her resources just to find relief to no avail. Until Jesus. She believed if she could just touch the hem of His garment she would be healed. Let's read it together,
"And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.”
Through her faith she was healed. All it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains. Be available and open friends and watch what happens next.
Much Love friends,
Alianna
