I don't know when or even if anyone has ever told you this, but God has plans for you. In fact, Jeremiah tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). His plans for you are good and His love is everlasting. It doesn't matter what life may be throwing at you, God already knows the future and He knows exactly what you need. He has already won ever battle you will ever face.
Scripture tells us, that before we were knit together in our mothers womb God already knew us. Long before our birth, God already knew everything about us. He is always with us, He goes before, comes alongside, and comes after. He is above all things and in and through Him all things were made.
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." - Genesis 1:27
We were created in the image and likeness of God. Each of us with a unique plan and purpose on our lives. I love what Colossians 3:9-11 tells us,
"Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all."
We are made new in and through the blood of Christ. I don't know about you, but that makes me excited. Its a promise, that when we give our lives to Jesus and believe that He is who He says He is, the old is gone and the new has come. Now, that's not to say that life won't be hard at times and that pain and trials won't come because they will. In fact, the Bible promises that they will, but Jesus also tells us to take heart, don't be discouraged because He has already overcome the world. He has already won the battles you're going to face.
What a TRUTH! When I was younger this was a concept that always blew my mind and honestly it still does. The fact that God knew everything about us even before creation. He knew everything about us including all our faults, sins, and mistakes and yet He still sent His one and only Son to die in our place so that we could have life and life abundantly.
It blows my mind. The Bible tells us that God casts our sins as far as the east is from the west, did you know that, that means they will never come back around they are cast infinitely out of reach. Our God loves us so much that even when we mess up He is still right there with us, never leaving and always loving us.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!" - Romans 5:8-9
You were made in the imago dei (image of God) friend. You have a unique plan and purpose on your life and you are loved by the Creator with an everlasting love, a fact I am so thankful for. We could never begin to earn His love and mercy, but its freely given. I think that's what makes it so beautiful.
You were made in the image and likeness of God friend, and He loves you so much. Next time you walk through a trial or find yourself feeling down remember that.
