Hope Secured...

It is so important that we understand that where we place our hope is a game changer. I like to think about it this way: hope is like the anchor of a ship. If you throw out the anchor into a bottomless sea the boat will never be anchored in. However, when you throw that anchor out and it catches on the sandy bottom and finds it anchor your ship will stand firm against the crashing waves.

Likewise, our hope acts as an anchor of our souls. Guiding us in the paths we should take and keeping us grounded in a firm foundation.

If we are grounded in a firm foundation no matter the storm that we may be facing we are anchored in the unwavering word of God.

When we place our faith in the word of God we will never be alone, and we will never be forgotten. I love what Psalm 94:14 tells us,

“The Lord will not reject his people: he will not abandon his special possession.”

What a beautiful reminder that God will never abandon or forsake us! We are His sons and daughters, bought with the blood of Jesus when He died on that cross. It is such a beautiful picture!

Knowing that we are not alone when placing our hope is so important. It allows us to place our hope from a place of expectation and faith. I have found that in the moments I feel the most alone I am at my lowest point and yet my God is right there with me through it all. No matter where I am or what I am doing my God is there.

Scripture tells us that there is no where we go, we can ever escape the love of God. If we go to the ends of the earth He is there, no matter where we go He is always there and He knows just what we need and when we need it. Remember there is absolutely nothing that OUR God can’t do. He is almighty and greater than anything and everything the world could ever throw at you.

It is so important to remember that no matter what the enemy throws your way, our God is greater than it all. If there’s nothing God can’t do then we have nothing to fear, we can wholeheartedly place our hope in the unchanging power of our God.

I vividly remember the first time I flew on an airplane; I was in awe of how it all worked. The fact that I was placing faith and hope in the pilot to get us safely to our destination, not thinking about everything that went into making the flight safe and comfortable for all the passengers. The pilot trusts that the plane will do what it was made to do just as the passengers trust the pilots to do what they were trained to do.

When we place our hope in God only we are trusting that He will do what He promised He would do so long ago. I love what Zephaniah 3:17 tells us,

"The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing."

Our God is so good friends and He is kind. No matter what life may be throwing your way, hold on to the promise that He will see you through to the other side. He is always faithful and always kind!

Much Love Friends,

Alianna
