Recently I have found myself in a season where life seems to be going at lightspeed and I'm holding on the best I can to keep up. I'm sure you've all been there at some point yourselves. Its a weird season in some respects as even though you feel like life is flying by, its almost like you're watching it go by all while living in lightspeed, if that makes any sense. With that said it has made me realize how thankful I am for the moments where I can set back and enjoy a moment of peace within the craziness. A moment to breathe, in the midst of the chaos surrounding me.
Sometimes all it takes is a single moment to redirect our focus back from the chaos and onto the word of God and allow us to focus in on what really matters. Taking a break from focusing on what the world expects from us and focusing instead on the things of God and the plans and purposes He has for our lives. Which has led me to be more intentional in seeking out those moments of peace and quiet within the noise. Those moments where I can rest in the promises of God.
I love what Matthew 6:34 tells us,
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
I want to take a moment to remind you, that it is okay to feel overwhelmed at times and not always know what to do. The important thing is to remember that you are not alone in those moments. God is right there with you and He is walking with you every step of the way. In those moments remember that God sees you and He loves you.
"Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." - Psalm 90:12
It just takes a moment friends. A moment to change the course of a day or even a life. I want to leave you with one final reminder,
"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9
Next time life starts to feel overwhelming or like it is moving at lightspeed, remember that all it takes is a moment to shift your entire perspective and change your day.
Much Love friends,
Alianna
